PENGARUH PERTUMBUHAN PERUSAHAAN, UKURAN PERUSAHAAN, DAN LEVERAGE TERHADAP PROFITABILITAS PADA PERUSAHAAN SEKTOR KEUANGAN DI BEI PERIODE 2020–2022

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of company growth, company size, and leverage both
prtially and simultaneously on profitability in financial sector companies listed on thr
Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2020-2022.
This research is a type of quantitative research. The sample selection used a purposive
sampling technique with 87 companies as a population an 24 companies that met the
requirements as a sample were obtained. The data used is in the from of secondary data
obtained through the official IDX website and literature that supports research. The analysis
technique used in this study uses multiple linear regression methods, which use the independent
variables of firm growth, firm size, and leverage with the dependent variable namely
profitability.
Based on testing & analysis, it was found that partially the company’s growth variable did not
have a significant effect on profitability. Firm size has a significant positive effect on
profitability. Leverage has a significant negative effect on profitability. Taken together, the
variables company growth, company size, and leverage have a significant effect on profitability
in financial sector companies listed on the IDX in 2020-2022.
